2011 Event 3 – White Lake Results

Here are the results of Event 3 at White Lake, July 30, 2011.
Congratulations to Jamie and Sue Navin for their 1st place finish with 12.24 lbs on 4 fish, and their Big Fish of the day of 4.69lbs caught “on the last cast”!! Way to go!

Scheduling Changes

There have been a few changes to the scheduling of waters. The dates all remain the same, but in order to secure parking and prevent conflicts with other events, we had to change the order of the lakes we are fishing for the final 3 regular-season events. Also note that the Classic was moved to the 2nd place (by # of votes) water due to an unadvertised large event at Muskrat that weekend.
The new schedule is as follows:

Saturday July 30 – WHITE LAKE, White Lake Marina. Parking & Launch: $15. BAA will cover $5, you are responsible for paying Trevor $10!
Saturday August 13 – MUSKRAT LAKE, Cobden Town Launch. Launch fee: $5 payable to Trevor.
Saturday August 27 – NEWBORO LAKE, Newboro Lock Station. Launch fee: Free. Parking: Free in remote lot.

Sat/Sun September 10/11 – Classic – Big Rideau Lake, Rideau Ferry (Conservation Launch). Launch fee: $7.00 payable at launch mailbox.

We apologize for the changes, but they were required as a result of an unforseen festival at the Newboro launch on the day we had scheduled that event for back in February. The subsequent swap of Muskrat and Newboro caused conflicts with another major series in the area, so we thought it would be best to change it as above. Again, sorry for the changes but we’ve done what we can to keep the same waters originally proposed, on the roster. An email to all members will follow.

The members have chosen…

PLEASE NOTE: The Classic was changed to Big Rideau Lake (at Rideau Ferry Conservation Launch) due to a conflict with a large, unadvertised event at Muskrat with 70+ boats. Big Rideau was 2nd in Classic voting by only one vote, so it’s now the official winner.

MUSKRAT LAKE* BIG RIDEAU LAKE

We will be fishing Muskrat Big Rideau Lake on September 10 & 11 for our Classic. 

* The runner-up in voting was Big Rideau Lake.  Should Renegade select Muskrat as their choice for Classic waters (same weekend), we will then go with the runner up of Big Rideau to ease congestion on the somewhat-small Muskrat Lake.

The 2011 “BAA Big Bass Challenge”!

New to Bass Anglers Association this year is the “BAA Big Bass Challenge”, presented by Jim Perry Motor Sales, and The Fireplace Center and Patio Shop.
The first team to weigh-in a 6+ pound bass at any BAA Regular Season event will win the following:

  • One full auto detailing job (value: $250) courtesy of Jim Perry Motor Sales in Kemptville.  The Jim Perry Detailing package includes a complete exterior wash, polish and detailing, engine shampoo, interior carpet and upholstery shampoo, and full interior detailing!

BAA Opening Event BBQ

    We are holding a BAA Opening-Event BBQ/Dinner after the first event at Mississippi Lake — July 2, 2011.

Raindate: To-Be-Announced. We will email/call all members the day before the event if we are cancelling the BBQ due to imminent storms.

We will require everyone who is attending to sign up, as well as bring something for the group to eat/drink/use.

Feel free to bring family/friends but be considerate and bring your fair share of items to the pot-luck! Also please indicate in your sign-up if you are bringing family/friends, and how many.

We expect approximately 50+ people to be attending, so please plan your contribution accordingly. For example: If bringing burgers: Bring a dozen — we have space for 4 burger-bringers. If bringing plates, please bring enough for 25 people (we have two places reserved for plates/cutlery bringers).

Thanks to Darren Lariviere and The Fireplace Center for generously donating the use of a Napoleon P450 barbecue for this event.
