2012 Classic – Newboro Lake

The BAA Executive have selected Newboro Lake as the location for the 2012 BAA Classic. This event will be held on September 8 & 9, 2012. 7am – 4pm on day 1, 7am – 3pm on day 2.

The Poplars Resort has agreed to provide BAA Members with a great package rate for any nights during the week leading up to (and including) the Classic. The rate will be $65/night (+ tip for the staff), per person and includes 3 meals per day! Please call Rick @ 1-888-686-1891 and mention you are a BAA member. The facilities are great, the food is delicious, you’ll have a slip for docking the boat (with power), and you will save valuable time and fuel by not having to drive up two consecutive days. Rick would like confirmation ASAP. First-come, first-served.

Tight lines!

BAA Sponsoring the Ottawa Fishing Festival!

Bass Anglers Association – Ottawa’s Top Bass Fishing Club, is very pleased to announce that we are sponsoring the 2012 Ottawa Fishing Festival, with a $100 Tagged Perch prize!

Anglers of all ages, and especially the kids, should come out to Brewer Park during the Ontario license-free family fishing week, July 14 & 15, from 10am – 6pm. There will be sponsor booths, live presentations, fun and games, and a big stretch of shoreline where you and your kids (or nieces or nephews, etc.!) can come fish for perch or bass with the chance to catch a tagged fish!

We would like to thank each and every member of BAA for donating some of their entry fees for the 2012 season towards this great cause.
